Default 97 XK8 Rear Hub install

I am changing out my right rear hub assembly, the new/used hub slides on to the splined shaft fairly easy then it stops and sounds like its seated all the way but when you put the axle nut on you can see that the assmly should be a half inch farther on the shaft any thoughts?

My first thought is you'll get a better response to this in XK8/XKR forum.

I've moved your question from Wheels / Tires, Suspension & handling to XK8/XKR forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.
