97 xk8 non-super charged. I need a new computer but they need to know if it has an egr valve. Any help is appreciated!!

 

I don't think the US market cars had a egr valve. But more important, who said you need a new ECU? They can be tested and rebuilt by several sources, including ASI.

I'm doing an exchange through ecu doctors(cheaper than having them fix it). My ecu has a very strange issue not caused by the capacitor leak issue. I looked at the manifold and can't see any egr pipes I just wanted to make sure.

The EGR valve, if you have one, is bolted to the aft part of the throttle body.

Hi- if you want/need another ECU, I have one from a 97 XK8 that was a running/driving parts car. Nothing wrong with it mechanically.

You can have it and the TCU for free- just cover the cost of shipping (in the cont US probably $25).
