Default 98 xk8 accelerates then goes flat

I bought a 98 XK8 convertible back in Feb and have been working on it a little bit at time getting all the issues worked out. I now have it on the road and love driving it. People really like to check it out. What a class ride. Anyways you guys have helped me get this far so here is my XK8s latest issue. It accelerates nicely and then goes flat at 40 mph. Kind of hesitates. If I press the peddle to kick into passing gear I get past the flat spot. Today I had the diagnostics scanned and the P1111 code came up. When the technician looked up the code there was information about a fuel pressure regulator failure, Mass Air Flow sensor, and purge valve solenoid as possibilities for the failure. Have any of you worked through this issue and have a best approach before going ***** nilly with part replacements? Any help with this is greatly appreciated. You guys have been great. great forum!

P1111 = OnBoard Monitoring Tests complete.

It's not a fault. You will always see either this or P1000 (OnBoard Monitoring Tests not completed since last memory clear).

Were there no other codes?

The P1111 is the only code. So maybe the information provided by the Tech is not accurate. He isn't a Jaguar Tech, actually a friend who would not be familiar with jaguars. So are there any ideas about why it is flat at around 40 mph? I was considering putting a chip in it. Would this help the performance issue? Any suggestions here are appreciated.

Thanks.

Many Jaguar code definitions are unique, you cannot use a generic look up.

Search the forum for throttle cable adjustment.
