Default '98 XK8 washer jets

Tried a search but couldn't find the exact answer. Are the windshield jets suppose to stream or spray in a fan pattern? I'm getting a stream and the windshield doesn't seem to be getting a good coverage of fluid. The little rubber thingies look a little dry and after a wash I get drips of fluid for a while. I fixed every other thing that's gone wrong to the tune of many $$$$ might as well get this done also. Replacements are little pricey and can't find any on ebay or used parts web sites. Any ideas? Jack

I have tried to clean the spray nozzles with a needle to some positive affect. It would appear that replacement of the entire wiper arm is the most affective solution. As a champion of wreaking yard parts this is one case that a parts counter solution may be the best.

Before you buy new parts, if you have access to an air compressor with a blowgun attachment try to blow the nozzle out from wiper into the washer resevoir. I learned this from a friend of mine and it works. I wouldn't use the needle method as the first course of action because if you deform the nozzle you'll ruin the spray pattern even if you manage to remove the clog.
