Red face ABS Module

I just started to get the ABS light coming on. I haven't attempted to diagnose yet, but I fear the ABS module is the problem. I had this problem with my 2001 VDP, and did the soldering myself, but I am getting older and lazier so I thought I would look on Fleabay for some options. It seems there are places that will rebuild your ABS module for a reasonable price - but they seem to end at the 2003 model year. Has anybody had their ABS module rebuilt with good results (model > 2003) ? TIA.

Is the error coming on at startup, after being stopped overnight? If so, I would start with the battery. Double check the date. Check the type. If not AGM, consider a cycle of maintenance (pop the top, top off the cells with distilled water). This likely will increase the voltage a bit, maybe enough for the fault to go away.

Best of luck, keep us posted.

Talking ABS - DSC

I finally got my butt out there to check codes and the ABS light wasn't coming on for me to do the blink test. I may have cleared it inadvertently, but I did hookup my new iCarSoft i930 and got a couple of codes from the BPM. I know I'm lazy, and I could look them up, but I thought it might help someone else if they had them (right). So I got a U1041, B1595, U2012. Could be battery, but the battery is not very old and the car has been driven regularly.
