Just bought a real nice 98 XK8. However, I had an interrmittant ABS & Traction Control Warning Light. Mechanic said my two front lower control arms needed to be replaced. Also there were three different size tires on the car. Once the control arms are fixed and I get replacement 18 inch tires will the ABS warning light problem also end? Let me know.

I know the ABS computers sometimes go bad.

Lower control arms is an unusual suggestion for an ABS / Trac warning fix. However, this warning message indicates that ABS and Traction Control are not operating. The vehicle can still be driven normally as if these features weren't fitted.

I'd be far more concerned about driving around with three different tyre sizes. Depending on the size disparity, the effects on steering and braking could be dangerous.

First thing I did after I got the new control arms was get 4 new tires. Now after the alignment I am having some stability problems, but I will get it realigned again. Thanks for the tip on the website.
