ACC with mesh grille
Hi. In the middle of installing a mesh grille & its occurred to me that the Adaptive Cruise Control radar (mounted underneath the black nose bar to the left as viewed from the front - UK) might not work?
Does this therefore need to be moved either to the bottom opening (2005 XK8) or behind the bumper itself (assuming it works through the plastic nose)?
Any advice would be appreciated as I have come to an unplanned stop!
Cheers

Unless the wavelength of the radar signal is small compared to the mesh openings, it probably won't work through the grill. Does your documentation tell you anything about the frequency band this thingy works in?
XKRs had a mesh grill as standard and most mesh grills are more or less the same as those when it comes to the wire spacing, etc. Unless you have a very unusual one off then I doubt it will be an issue.

Thanks guys.
No information on the systems particulars at all I'm afraid.
This answers my question though; give it a whirl & see what happens!
I'll post here the result for others anyway.
