no because your headlight is broken internally. (the plastic support posts that hold the inner assembly). want to ck it,,remove the plastic radiator cover that allows access to healights, now grab the high beam electrical connector and move it up and down, it shouldnt move, yours im sure will flop around. A cheap fix is to fashion with either tie straps, and rubber hose something to pull back and level the high beam connector to raise the light, however if totally broken this wont work. otherwise you need to buy a whole headlight assembly, but I do have a used Xtype assembly Im getting ready heat in the oven and pull apart and try some really good plastic epoxy I have to see the integrity of that repair.....good luck

my worst nightmare is a broken assembly like that. Good luck. If brutal's xtype headlamp experiment works, that might be your next best attempt at an inexepensive repair.

I checked for movement. There is none. Were you refering to an X type or an XKR? I have an '03 XKR.
sorry my bad, I go to todays posts and not in different forums, XK's seldom if ever break HID's, so you may need to adjust, and or recalibrate the headlamp leveling module....ie dealer for this, but go talk to a tech and offer a Christsmas tip, we're here to help, not rape you......

Good luck and please do! Oddly, my left headlight spot is a few inches lower than my right. It's not a huge difference, but it is noticeable.

xeno, thats normal 'step' pattern for the HID lamps...see this image. It puts more light out higher right (US only).

Normal

You adjust it with a 6mm. socket, there is one right behind the high beam and another one behind the low beam or HID, this one points east to west, you just stick a small ratchet and then and turn, easy! it's white.

my 2000 xkr's hi-beam is all spread out, too high but not of much use. it's blue, which must be some after-market crap, maybe a "flood" type? there is a tiny blue lamp at the top of the assembly - that can't possibly be it - what is it?
