Default Air Bag Warning

Hello everyone. I've got the airbag warning light on my 2002 XKR. It goes on, then off and then flashes eight times. According to information I gleaned from earlier posts, this is a code 18 which means "Pass airbag deactivate lamp circuit fault." Assuming I'm reading this correctly, where is the best place to start to track this down?

If i remeber it correctly, the car will warn you the lamp itself goes out.. does the passenger lamp come on at any time? It should come on breifly when you turn on the ignition. If it does not, start with replacing the bulb.

Experiencing the same issue on my ‘04. Have had it 3 times since 2017. Just showed up again recently.. Don fixed it each time by removing the passenger seat and cleaning the connector. I am not comfortable playing either the little guy however. Please keep us apprised of what you do.
