Air filter replacement (No, not K&N)
OK Folks.
I can't stand this and I gotta share. I thought though that I'd better start it in a new thread.
I was paying close attention to the K&N thread and knew that I too needed a new one. I looked at the prices on 7 different brands including an original Jag air filter for $78 here in CDN. Naturally, I didn't want to skimp on quality buttttttt, I ended up buying a WIX 542461 for $20 CDN.
I took it out of the box and read that it was made in Germany, just like the Jag filter. I then looked at it real hard and the X#%Z thing is the same bloody filter. It is exact, right down to the little ink lines running along the top of the paper.
$20 vs $78 strikes me as a ripoff! There I feel better. Breath deeply.
I learn something every day

Also note that NAPA filters are WIX filters and are a lot cheaper than OEM!
