Hi I am getting the error code 12 (1 flash then a pause then 2 flashes of air bag)

I am struggling to find out what this error means.

It appeared after I had a host of electrical problems due to a flat battery, upon changing the battery and doing a hard reset it has appeared, all other problems have been fixed by the new battery but this one

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Flash Code 12 = Restraint Control Module - Internal Failure

That sounds frighteningly expensive but note 'battery voltage out of range' is one of the possible causes. Eliminating this first seems a good way to start troubleshooting.

When I had an error code 12, it turned out to be a broken wire under the driver's seat. They get caught in the track and break. There are other posts on the forum that show where the break is. Good luck!
