Which aircon condenser?

Default Which aircon condenser?

My (UK) XK8 1998 convertible (VIN ...025222) needs a new condenser. Some suppliers are offering part MJA7390AB for early cars but then add a caveat that you may need to change pipes as well. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Nissens part # 94798 (linked in bladerunner's post above) is the condenser for the earlier cars, and is the one I fitted. I didn't need to change any pipes.

Do check the replacement carefully against the one you take out:- the connector pipes on the replacements needed some juggling to get them to mate up, I had to grind off the ends of the clamp bolts and, IIRC, the lower locating tabs required some bending. That's the world of pattern parts, I'm afraid.
