Default Updated price...

When I had purchased the blue tops on eBay, they were $179.97.

They may have realized how good the price was after my purchase and have now raised it to $189.97, which is still a great price.

Default Good tip

That's a good tip. For this project, I am utilizing items recommended and proven by AVos to support the twin screw supercharger kit. As time passes and opportunities to make changes/upgrades happen, I'll consider other options.

This 002 unit flows a bit over 10% more than stock, so at least it is a decent improvement.

This is a link to 010 pumps on eBay for those that are interested:

The 010 pump looks indeed a little better again. The tests I done to measure the actual flow thru our system was in 2008 where I only had the Bosch 002 one. By the looks of it he 010 pump could deliver about 20% more flow then the stock Hella one.

Default 010

For the price, it sounds like a worthwhile improvement over the 002. I'll get one and put the other up for sale on eBay. =)

Edit: Thanks for the tip and advice, XJR Prototype and AVos. I went ahead and bought the 010. It gets really hot in Tucson, so, the flow improvement is definitely worthwhile for the price.

Default Intake MAF sensor

It arrived today! This thing is HUGE at 3.5" diameter! It is specially programmed by the manufacturer to AVos specifications. I'm so excited to see these parts showing up... Wahoo!

I wonder what the cost is on the maf calibration alone... I think I found the housings for cheap... as well as 4" units.

Default ? Limited slip differential to go with extra power

Are you going to add an LSD?
I am finding that even at mile-high and above elevation, my stock 4.0 XKR puts out more power than my new Michelins can put down at sub 30 MPH in 2nd gear in tighter corners.

Default Limited Slip Diffy

Yes. I will install a limited slip differential next year, probably in the Spring. I'm not rich, so I'll let some funds accrue before I get to it. After that, the XKR will get an upgraded brake system, custom wheels/tires and a new paint job or wrap. Lastly, I'll have some interior work done to replace the seat leather and touch up some wear spots. Somewhere along the way, a new stereo will be put in. I already have nice speakers and sub woofers installed, but the stock stereo doesn't have the power to drive them properly. It would be nice if I could just snap my fingers and have it all done! =)

Wow, grats!

I'm in-process of trying to find an LSD... I want that installed before I do the twin screw update. I may upgrade to stiffer bushings before I do the twin screw as well.

Good to see another one in the US!

Just a heads up, the Blue Top mod won't work in the later 4.2 cars. (My $850 lesson) They changed the transmission.

I just bought one of those Bosch 010 pumps... still waiting on my LSD to arrive before I start preparing to install the TS kit. I'm glad I'm patient. lol

Which LSD did you settle on? I decided to go the other way and start with the twin screw and update other things as necessary.

I'm pretty sure the LSD will be necessary.

The rep from Quaife was a douche and the Jag part came back as unavailable... even though they're out there and I could find one, the employee lost a sale cause he was an ***. So, I purchased the OS Giken. They didn't have the less-expensive version in stock, so I went ahead and got the TCD 1.5. Good thing I did, because after really researching it, it seems the OS Giken will suit my driving much better as it's able to transfer power better during cornering with acceleration/deceleration and drifts much better when you want to kick the end out a little. Heh.
