Default Another new coil

Just had my second CEL and misfire in the last month or so. My fault for not having a code reader, but it cost another 400. for a new coil and replaced all plugs at the local garage. So far, I've replaced #1 and #4 coils. I wonder if bad plugs can cause this (I replaced them all about 6K ago when I did the chain tensioners with Autolite platinum)? Anyway, off to get a reader or maybe just replace coils 1/month till all done.

I would resign myself to replacing the coils. It seems that when one starts to go, they just follow one after another.

Thanks...maybe I'll buy one a week until they're done Should the CEL go out by itself or does it need to be reset? Mine's still on.
