I've read through the excellent thread on "Battery Replacement" for XK8 et al. It was very informative. However, one issue/question was not addressed (at least I didn't pick it up) on installation.
My question is this: if I attached my Battery Tender clips onto the battery wire leads into my battery before I disconnected my old battery and left them attached while I removed the old battery, would I have uninterrupted power? In the alternative, if I hooked a another 12v battery to the battery leads with jumper cables while I removed the old battery, would I have an uninterrupted power source? Just curious, the question was asked in the thread but never answered.

 

Not sure about your tender. My tender is solar and puts out very low voltage. I use a jump box. A jump box puts out as much as a full size battery. I do connect the jump box to my cables before I disconnect the battery. Retention of electronic settings, radio, seat, etc. is the benefit. Rich
