Default Any Ideas On what these are?
Does anybody have any idea what these brackets are, bolted to the body inside the rear wheel arches on 2000 XKR convertible?
I'm currently replacing the rear shocks and wondered what function these serve.

Vibration damper, perhaps??

These are the rear axel bumpers. Maybe not the correct nomenclature, but you should get the idea.

Those are the bump stops.

A bump stop, but would check parts manual, as I think there should be a rubber cone attached to it.

Jaguar call it the rear Suspension Bumpstop.

P/N MJA3750AB and still available from JLR at 117 UKP.




Nothing wrong with yours. It looks the same as this (almost) new one on my 2000 XK8:
