I think the technical term for the problem is "heavy wallet," it a can only be alleviated by spending money on cool looking "performance" parts.

Really, please don't fall for the hype, bolting something on an already well engineered car usually has little to no effect on streetable performance.

Better tires, proper inflation, alignment, good fuel, driver training and good maintenance can all have more effect on performance than most aftermarket bling.

The air induction kits are a classic example of something that looks cool, but actually reduces the performance of the car by replacing the OEM cold air intake with a flashy red cone filter that actually pulls in hot air from the engine compartment.

Our cars do not have "struts." Some real "strut braces," due to the geometry and design of the front suspension, can never have a measurable impact on handling.

Unless, you are talking about "butt dyno" claims, then all bets are off, of course.

I just always thought they were devices that helped taking any cowl/front end shake in verts out, make them a little more solid.

Cowl shake in convertibles does not originate with relative movement of the shock towers.
