Default Any suggestions for a good South Carolina Indie

Hi all

I moved to North Myrtle Beach about a year ago and thankfully my Jag has been behaving or at least I've been able to do needed work myself to this point.

Not that I plan on going to a Jaguar dealer but, there are none in my area. Charleston (2 1/2 hrs) or Cary in NC (2 hrs plus). Tried researching indie mechanics in my area but, not finding much.

Hopefully, I won't be needing one anytime soon but, figured I would ask before I need one in a pinch.

As always, thanks in advance guys and hope everyone is enjoying the summer months.

Cheers!

Andrew

Andrew, I've seen a few in the North Myrtle area, but have over time saw more all over.
Did a quick search and found this. Might be a good start.

Hey CJD777

I am familiar with Exotic Auto. I was at a British car show at Market Common several months ago and someone recommended them highly. I kept the info and for now they are my go to shop if I need help.

Was just seeing if anyone knew of an indie I wasn't aware of. But, thanks for responding and hope all is well.

I still cannot believe the Grand Strand does not have a Jaguar dealer. Considering all the luxury vehicles in the area (folks with money) I would figure it would be a slam dunk for a dealer. Oh well.

Cheers!

I just returned from my annual pilgrimage from London Ontario Canada to North Myrtle Beach in the 2004 XK8. On the whole 2 thousand mile trip I only saw 3 other Jags and the only one in Myrtle Beach was a S-Type on a lot. I commented to my wife that all of the advertising Jag is doing now does not seem to have penetrated that area. We go to the Market Common often, and although you see every other high end car you never see a jag. I was particularly taken with a dark blue Continental GT convertible. That diamond stitched upholstery is something else. And oh yes another trouble free trip, with 197,000 km. on the car. Top down through the West Virginia mountains is the way to go.

Blue XK8 looks extra ice with Palm Trees and blues skies, took this in North Myrtle Beach.

Sounds like a great trip, Daro! My car (2003 xk8 conv. Pacific Blue) had all of it's life in NC before I purchased it. Had it shipped to the New Jersey Shore and within 6 months I moved to North Myrtle Beach so my Jag is back home again. Have seen a few Jags in the area but, not too many. Funny thing is I get compliments everywhere I go from folks 18 to 80.

Daro, wish we hooked before you made your trip. Would have been nice to have hung out and had cocktails. Next pilgrimage you take let me know and we will make it happen.

Cheers!

Default BTW

Our cars could be twins other than the rims. I really need to trust my Jag more and take more road trips like you do. A good friend trailer transported my car for me when I moved. The thought of getting stuck between NJ and SC just scared the sh#t out off me. I salute you! lol

Cheers!
