I plan to be in Austin from Oct 20-27 for the Formula 1 race.
Is anyone planning a trip. It would be great to meet some of the local Forum members.

I wish I could be there, it looks a great venue, particularly with those real inclines. Unfortunately Silverstone is flat and featureless, although I do plan to pop over to Belgium one day.
Lewis Hamilton was singing the praises of Austin earlier, particularly the catering!

I was there for the only Formula One race at Indianapolis, and it was a blast.(flags, drinking, hugging, drinking, body painted women, drinking, dancing, drinking, singing, drinking, eating, drinking, being kissed by a woman with large hands and an Adams apple, and drinking!) I wish I knew what Tony George did to **** off the F1 committee so bad? I would have taken a stick to him, if I knew. I kept having a couple of German gentlemen try to get me drunk on Jagermeister.......and they really really really succeeded. Thank God my daughter couldn't drink, and I could back then.(she is the son I always wanted.....even though her brother may take umbrage to that) She learned how to drive a clutch in the 928S that trip home. It was the most expensive ride home, I have had in my life. Dual disc clutch, times two fiber discs @ $800 each(OOPS...I meant $1800 each).......That beat my trip in the limo in Vegas, by a long shot. Thank God they only took me a half hour to replace. I would love to go to the Gran Prix in Texas!!!! Will you take a check???? Be cool, and have a GREAT TIME Juan!!!!.......Mike
