Anyone hear of BBK Vari-Tune mufflers
Found this on the web; a muffler that allows you to tune the sound with a threaded adjustment rod. It changes the flow between one and three internal chambers which in turn changes the sound. Some good sound clips on YouTube. They don't make a model for Jaguars (just muscle cars), but perhaps one could be adapted.
Interesting idea.

It would depend where you put it. There isn't a ton of space behind the rear wheels, but depending on the dimensions of this muffler, a good exhaust shop may be able to get it to fit. If they have a dual in/dual out version, then you could replace the center dual in/dual out one and then straight pipe in place of the other four.
Hi Keith,
I know there's not much space, but they make a number of different size mufflers (not car-specific) and one of them might fit. I'm going to remove the rear resonators and drive around for a day or two see what that sounds like. If I like it, I'll install the Mina muffler delete kit. If not, and I can find one of those tune-able mufflers that fit, that would be my next choice. Finally, if all else fails I'll probably just buy the whole Mina cat-back system and be done with it. I've spent way too much time on this search for the Holy Grail already.
