I bid on it early on but when I found out it was green, I quit

I did!

Thing is that the veneer of my XKR (100) Coupé which I bought recently was painted in 'piano black' by the previous owner.
Actually it looks quite good and I will leave it like that for now. But I wish he would have taken a less drastic route, like using black foil to make this reversible. But hey, to each his own.
OTOH I decided to get the genuine 'grey-stained birds eye maple' veneer (for the sake of originality) - at some time on the distant future, maybe never. You can imagine my surprise when someone offered the proper veneer on Ebay last week (AFAIK both 'special editions' had the same grey-stained... veneer).
The only thing I have to change is the lettering/decal. Maybe someone here could send me a hi-res close-up of the 'XKR 100' lettering/decal on the right fascia. That would be great.

I will send pics of the veneer as soon as it arrives here in Germany.

Euro to the dollar, aha, that is how the price jumped so high. Oh, well.

Not necessarily, we still would have to pay 10% import duty and 21 % vat, on the value of the parts including shipping, so it will in dollars well over $1000.

If anyone is interested I still have a new set, but need to check it out, as it was in storage for a long time.

I would have been glad to pay less but the price jumped so high because there was (as always) another last-minute bidder. Was he/she also from continental Europe? We'll never know.
Besides, the seller had a reserve price.

Thing is that this special veneer seems to be quite rare. I'm not sure if this was an option for the 'normal' X100-series.
I guess there still might be a couple of these in the UK but obviously these won't fit in a LHD car.

So, I admit - there was an opportunity and I took it. ;-)

Be sure to post pics when you install. That green is great.

AVOS, now that we know the market price for the wood is well above $250, I am out of contention but you should ebay yours pronto while interest is strong.

This solved my decision about wood vs driver seat leather.
