Anything to be done about rattling front brake dust shields?

Default Anything to be done about rattling front brake dust shields?

They drive me nuts. Do I have to live with is, or is there a solution?

Hi.

The shields are fastened with three screws and some bent tabs. If the screws are not tightened properly or the tabs not bent correct, the shields will rattle.
You will have to remove the brake discs to access.

My lower tabs broke so I have 'em ziptied as I had zip ties and not spare tabs when I replaced my ball joints. Could be as simple as that or maybe even just bending it back away from the rotor.
