Put the battery back on and was greeted with the above unavailable message. I went for a good run and then had a gearbox fault message(holding in second gear)got home at a very steady pace. fired her up again, gearbox fault gone (shifting as it should) but asc/trac still on. First things first -- how old is your battery?

 

I put it on about two years ago,it's a varta. Do you think it could voltage related?.

 

Possibly. Do you have a voltmeter?

 

I have checked it,12,1 volts.

 

that’s low.

put the battery in a charger. It should be 12.6 v after sitting overnight without the charger or battery tender connected.

it does help to banish gremlins to keep the car on a battery tender whenever the car is not being used overnight or longer.

do you have a list of the OBD-II codes that are present ?
