Default Audio head unit steering stalk controls XK8

Hi all,

I have a 96 XK8, that had the old old style head unit in (similar to XJ6 94-97 I believe?)

... so I went and got myself a new head unit (Kenwood BT92SD) and the adaptors from AutoLeads (PC99-X10 and PC99-KEN) - and the new head unit powers up ok, but I'm still missing the steering controls. I installed exactly as the instructions describe, and the resistive module is plugged into the correct pin on the loom (yellow/purple wire from the steering stalk, which is correct according to JTIS...). Can anyone think of anything I can try?!!

Cheers

I installed a PAC SWI-Jack with my JVC ADV49 head unit, and although it is not listed as 'compatible', it works. The buttons are programmable, so if you want the 'next' button to be either TRACK or FOLDER, you can choose. The included instructions are very easy to follow. I have volume UP and DOWN, SOURCE, and TRACK FWD programmed on mine.

Ok, Cheers H2O. I'll check out alternative adaptors if I get no joy out of Kenwood or Autoleads (whom i'm contacting for advice in the first instance).
