Some years ago at one of the visits to the dealership, they programmed the alarm to be set automatically after a few seconds of the key out of the ignition. Problem is that the alarm is armed sometimes before we even get out, so must have key fob in hand.
Anyways at the last visit to the dealership, also some years ago, I asked the same service advisor about removing the auto alarm and he said that he did not think that was possible.....huh!
Bottom line....Is there someway to change the alarm arming without going to the dealership?

Some diagnostic tools can enable/disable control module features.(SDD,WDS,IDS maybe others)

I am not a 'dealer' but I have WDS and IDS. Many of us on this forum have these devices.

 

Guess I just need to find an owner, or independent shop that has IDS capability. Time to make a few phone calls.
