For no apparent reason, the auto lock system (doors, trunk), the reverse sensor alarm, and the convertible top control stopped working.

Battery is less than 2 years old and I keep on a trickle charger so it is fully charged

Tried disconnecting battery and reconnecting (re-set) which did not fix

checked door lock fuses in passenger side fuse box (appeared good)

Any ideas as to what could cause these problems would be appreciated.

To clarify, '03 XK8, locks do not work w/remote fob, or trunk release, or alarm, convertible top doesn't open/close. Tried other fobs, new battery in fob, nada

A few questions.... assuming you have checked that all related fuses are good.

1. Do the doors lock manually ?
ie: From inside the car will BOTH doors lock when the drivers door latch is pressed in.
--Do doors lock automatically when car picks up speed.

2. Will the trunk open when switch in car is pressed.

3. Will the convertible top raise and lower when using the key in door

Look for a common cause. Keeping in mind there may be a co-incidental failure.
Modules involved are mostly in the trunk. SLCM and Parking Aid.
Could be CAN problem. Vehicle speed?

Doors do not lock manually when locking driver's door from inside.

Doors do not lock at speed.

Trunk does not open with button inside car.

Top does not lower from key in door (but interior lights come on)

Any guidance is appreciated.
