Cool Battery not Charging?

Hi all,My wife and I are driving to Monterey on Thursday,so today,Sunday I was cleaning My 1999 XK8 60,000,to look all perfect for our drive,I checked all fluids,we drive her all the time with pretty minimal problems, then today,I started her up,and she stalled on me,and said battery not charging,I checked all connections started her up then boom it did it again.I left it for 10 mins started her up and she is fine now.
Sorry to go on and on with this topic, but what could the reason be for this, anyone know?and is It likely to do it again?

How old is the battery? Any auto parts store will test the entire charging system in 5 minutes and you will know for sure.

It's pretty much either the battery or the alternator. If it was the alternator you'd get a warning about the alternator and the car would quit running when the battery went dead. My guess is that you have a bad battery.

If the system is bad one time and good another, look for a loose connection in the primary wiring system. If the wiring is tight, get it analyzed to find the problem.

Doesn't mean that it is a 'good' battery and doesn't mean that the installation properly tightened down the connections or that the battery was the problem to begin with.
