I bought THIS device that plugs into your cigarette lighter and its battery helps maintain all of your settings... but, I haven't used it yet (I bought it when I was having some battery issues with my old Cadillac but I sold the car before I needed the device). In theory it should work fine...

@ dcarlo

I have successfully done this with an Infinity. You have to be very careful when taking the cables off the battery posts while keeping the charger cables attached. It worked fine, but I think I would not attempt this on my Jaguar. Battery access is a little more of a challenge.

I've got a 1050 crank Interstate in my 97. The only hassle is finding one thin enough to fit back there. What people don't realize is that there's only 3 big manufactures of batteries in the world. They make them for the brands. Interstates, Sears Die Hards, and blew me away when I found out, Walmart house brand, are all made virtually the same quality etc, by the same manufacturer. Bosch aren't a big name in batteries, so I don't know which manufacturer makes them. I never bothered to find out which one makes Canadian Tire batteries, big seller in my country, but total crap.

Bosch batteries are only genuine in Europe. Here they license the name, usually to the manufacturer of Exide. This is not necessarily bad as they might spec for higher quality in their premium products.

For a very good battery use Deka.
