Default Best place to get suspension bushings?

Where to order or drive to get in Miami? I need the upper shock mounts, and I might as well do the sway bars. How much would I expect to spend on parts?

I'd like to know, too. A while back h20boy posted a link for some urethane bushings but I can't find the link anymore.

I'm not sure about the best place, but I have Powerflex bushings in my XKR. I purchased them 2 years ago from the U.K. because I couldn't find them in the U.S. I have provided the web link for the (new to me) U.S. site.

Wow, fast replies. I'm looking for factory rubber, not sure about putting urethane's on my xk.

I would not discount the poly, the ride changes very little and they will las a lot longer meaning your alignment will stay true longer as well.

As far as OEM type (you definitely need the OEM type with the sleeves where they are applicable) I would try the usual suspects:
  • jagbits.com
  • welshent.com (they are not listing bushings ob there site but I'd call them).

Jaguar OEM sway bar bushings are about $13 each. Upper mounts, sorry don't know. If I were to do it again, I'd get the poly for the sway bar, and even the control arms too. The OEM rubber doesn't last as long.

I measured my XK8 sway bar and was going to try the red poly bushings, though not 'custom' like polyflexusa's, but only 1.5mm smaller than the bar IIRC. I do have a link somewhere and the information about the sway bar diameter in one of my many threads.

Here's a repeat from another thread ... (note: this is for OEM type rubber, not that fancy space-age stuff you kids like so much).

Do you have access to a hydraulic press?

If you're going to tear apart your front end, you could replace the items that chronically wear out:

Upper shock mounts
Lower shock bushings
Upper and Lower ball joints
Upper and Lower Suspension arm bushings

... and while you're in there:

stabilizer arm links
stabilizer arm bushings
steering rack bushings
steering tie rod ends

This basically gets you a new front suspension.
Total parts cost ~ $520 from
