Best place for service
Aug 2017 I purchased a 2000 XK8 convertible. I live in the St. Charles, MO area and wonder where the best place would be to take it for routine service (oil change, etc..). I'm hesitant to go to the standard high end car dealerships because of cost.
Any info would be appreciated. I admit I probably bought it without thoroughly thinking it through, but it is in such good shape!

Your garage.
If you’re competent, that is. I don’t much trust anyone to touch my cars anymore if I can help it.
Sorry to not be of much help for your region. As with most densely populated areas you should be able to find at least one decent one. Just make sure you shop around, as Jaguars can be in a league of their own. I have been turned away more than once from various mechanics when they say they can fix such and such, until I tell them it is a Jaguar. Either that or they jack the price because they hear it’s a Jaguar. But most of the time they either do not have the know how or (diagnostic) equipment.
Best of luck!

+1 to DIY self service
There's nothing complicated in the standard service schedules for the XK8 and only a few basic tools are required. All the advice on what, when and how is available on the forum.

MET, If you cannot do your own service, there are several Jaguar specialists in the Greater St Louis Area but I don't think you need a Jaguar specialist for routine maintenance work. Here's a link to some Specialists

I do not have any experience with them since I am a DIY guy like most of us on this forum. You might also contact the Jaguar Club of St Louis for recommendations.
A facility that began posting recently on our local StL CL is "It's Alive Automotive" on St Charles Rock Road. Another is Le Stable in Glen Carbon, IL. It is primarily a restoration shop, but I have seen some of their work and it is well done. Service prices for most of these will likely be at premium rates.
Good luck!
