Yes there are two central screws underneath in line with where the numbers are above.

It is not possible to unplug the circuit board with the lights on at the gear change location. So the new one has to go on over the top of the old one.

You have to drill two holes. Fortunately there are two plastic guides under the old plate that show you exactly where to drill.

Happy to say it looks gorgeous.

I have ordered a replacement black plastic one in case I have to return the car to stock.

Very happy Sailor.

Looks stunning! Mine was also cracked in several places, had to jb-weld the whole thing. Worth it though!

Just installed mine. Wow, what a PITA!

I did remove the old PRND Bezel as the screws would not fit with it on (they are not long enough). I did leave the middle section of the bezel over the lights as that would not come free.

I have the opposite issue and need to add washers to the shifter as the new aluminum surround is higher.

Default And.... The finishing touch.

Arrived this morning.

Got one for the Daimler Super Eight as well. But I can't fit it yet as I don't have the tool and I don't want to scratch the chrome.

Love my Green Car...

Thank you HM1 from Miami. With your post I did order the billet plate for my '99 XK8 from the web site you suggested. Installed, works great. Took a little fiddling with to install, the results are great. It is a good looking remedy to my cracked shift bezel under the new bright billet plate. I am sure it saved quite a bit of $$ over replacement of the shifter component. Rich
