Default Black Under Carriage Skirt replacement

Has anyone replaced the black plastic UNDERTRAY meant to protect and take the shock of hitting a bump under the nose of the car?

I am planning to get under the nose re-painted, since it has scrapes, and wonder if it's worth replacing or not...

If all the attachment holes are intact, leave it alone. you WILL scrape the nose again!

Ms. Bluefin,

Just get a "Shaker-Can" of Bluefin color paint and get down under the Front and spray the scratches, no one will ever know the difference! About an hour after you finish, you'll hit another speedbump and need to re-paint it all over again!!!

I wouldn't waste too much time or money attending to the underside of the bumper since you are in LA. When I first got the car I was busy every other weekend underneath touching up the scrapes but it is hopeless here with the channels on every other street that serve as the "storm sewers" and the steep driveway transitions that are so common.

If the skirt is removable, get it line-x coated. That should solve the issue.

Just one new undertray left on ebay. Not cheap though. I like the coating idea.

i know no one else sees it except me, but it just bothers me.
a little OCD (like Doug) haha.
what is left of the undertray is attached, but i wonder if a new one will really help withabsorbing much of the hits from speed bumps etc. YES, i creep over them, but the car is pretttttttty low!
im gonna have it sanded out and re-coated though

Especially for those of us with '05's/'06's. The added lower air dam further decreases the ground clearance.

I think I read on a post that you should keep a lower on your car or the high speed wing can cause some issues in the wheel wells. If damaged to the point it won't stay in place I would suggest replacement unless you are a 55 and under driver.

Line-x is a spray on protective coating popular for truck beds. It's been catching on for other things as it's crazy durable. A local guy had his hummer h1 painted in the stuff. I think it would be amazing for a skid plate/undercarriage cover.

No affiliation, I've just seen it's results on other projects and think it's a good fit. There are other brands doing similar stuff (Rhino).

Best,
