Default Bluetooth question

I was reading on setting up the bluetooth link with my phone. I know it says to start by pushing the button on the radio with the phone picture on it. Then it's supposed to say "Sig" or something like that on the radio display. Then you have to enter a code.

Well, the problem is that it doesnt do anything when I push that button. Nothing. Is there a trick I'm missing or is the bluetooth just not working? Would it make sense to disconnect the battery to reset the system? I have a hard time believing that just that one button isn't working. I'd really like to get the bluetooth up and running with my Iphone.

Is it possible it's still thinking it's linked to a prior owner's phone?

The Bluetooth phone system is not factory fitted on some 2006 XKs. If not fitted it is a dealer installed accessory so you may not have it on your vehicle. If you do here's how to set it up. Only select phones are compatible with the Jaguar system so if you use a non-compatible phone some of the features may not work.

First you need to pair your phone. Here's the procedure.

Turn ignition on

Enter ##3#*# on the audio keypad then press the send/end button (SC)

The word SIG should be displayed

On your phone search for bluetooth devices

Once found select Jaguar

When prompted press 1313 on your phone that is the bluetooth code

After that the phone should be paired to the car.

So, where do you get one of these 'cassette converters'?

I bought mine on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

It's a car audio cassette adapter.
