Default Bolt for front Chrome bumper

Does anybody know what size the bolts are that hold the front chrome splitter on an 03 XK8? The XK8 I bought had a loose splitter and it has no bolts holding it on!! Somebody had taken it off to replace the broken overriders but never put the bolts back?! They didn't put new overriders on either, which I did order and have new in box.

Jag dealer doesn't seem to know as those bolts come with a splitter?

Thanks,
Ken

I have attache d the parts blow up and the parts list. There are only 2 bolt sizes listed M6 x 20mm and M6 x 25mm. All of the other fasteners are self tapping screws M6 or push pin rivets.
Hope this helps.

I've seen that pic as well. It's not clear what bolt holds the chrome splitter on. I'll try some M6 bolts and see if they fit. Length is not that important. I do know it is a bolt and not a push pin.

MKVIII,
Check out this post of GGGs here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...27/#post796997

It shows a little more detail under the exploded diagram as posted by Vern.

The fasteners are plastic 'fir tree' clips; I believe they are all the same and are part # BBC7525LEG according to JEPC. I have a spare one still in its bag from when I replaced the splitter vane on mine so I'm sure the number is/was good. There are 4 on top (2 each overrider) and 3 underneath. The shape of the vane changed around 2002?, but the fixing looks the same, although some mention screws instead of clips for the underneath.

I certainly didn't need to remove the front bumper.

HTH,
Mike

+1 michaelh I was curious and had to go take a look. I have attached a picture of the lower center fir tree fastener on my chrome splitter. The parts blow up shows 2 from the top and 3 from the bottom.
