Default Brake pressure sensor replacement

My 2000 XK8 has developed a very small brake fluid leak from a sensor (looks like a 3" round disk) near the master cylinder. I talked with a Jaguar tech, he told me that this sensor was the input for the braking computer. It sensed how hard the brake pedal was being depressed. He also told me it was under tremendous pressure (8,000 psi) and I shouldn't consider replacing it myself. All I ever hear from the dealer is: "This is tooooo much for you to work on, just bring your wallet and the car in and we'll make it better". Does anyone have any experience with replacing this part? I'd expect that it will require bleeding the system. But, that is no big deal. After replacing the fuel pump for $100, when the dealer wanted $1,500, I'm thinking these guys have an huge margin target.
