Have a 2007 xk8. Right side headlight has broken mounting tab. I have a spare right side headlight with perfect body but cracked lens. Is there a procedure or instructions to separate the lens from the body so I can make one good headlight out of two??

 

The lens is just glued in place with a silicone adhesive. Use an utility knife to separate. Do not . . . repeat . . . . do not . . . attempt to clean the silvered interior of the body. Mine just wiped off.

 

Looks like I will try and repair the tab. After input from this website, getting the lens off and putting back on with a water tight may be a bit too challenging.
