Smile bumper indentations

I just noticed that there are significant indentations in the plastic front bumper just in front of the wheel opening and just below the little side light. This is plastic and is pushed in to the point that it is noticeable. There is no paint damage at all and it is essentially the same on both sides. Is this common on the 2000 XK8? Sure effects the looks of the front side view.

This is the first I've heard of it happening, so it isn't common. It's odd that it would happen to both sides. I've searched through my pictures trying to get a good view of the area and this picture seems to show it the best:

Not real good with posting photos. I'll give it a try as soon as the weather clears up.
