Default A/C Host replacement on a 2001 MY

I have to replace the A/C Host (Compressor to low-pressure-valve) which is one piece. But as I search for this part I find only a "2-parts" Solution. Are the replacement parts because of easier fixing?

What about the work to change itself? How hard is it?

Thanks - Daniel

Which part do you need to replace?

Getting the hose disconnected from the compressor might be challenging. Take a look at this article on Gus' great info resource:

JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource

I recommend replacing the receiver/dryer as part of the job even if you still have pressure in the system, and renew any 'o' rings you disturb.

Thanks Michaelh

Part 15 and 11 are one Line/Host in my car, I can not see two with Connector between.
Did Jaguar mounted in Factory a one-piece Line/Host which can not be replaced without taking off the engine - Therefore a 2-piece Line/Host for replacement?

Jaguar issued a TSB for the procedure of replacing the one piece hose with the later 2 piece hose.
The procedure is similar for both the X100 and the X308.

Greetings, I have a leak in the rubber crimped ac hose marked 3, 4 and 6 in the diagram. I would like the part number on that hose, I located on ebay a used hose assembly from a 47k mi 1999 xk8 model and will see if that works for me. I love "recycled" parts only if they work.

JEPC shows the same part # for 99 through 2002 - MJA7360AB
Available new from Heritage for ~$135 so you shouldn't be paying anywhere near that for S/H

I'd recommend replacing the O rings at each end.

#6 is just listed as a 'tie wrap'
