Default C Recorder

because of the problems I have been having my son got me a C recorder the list of interesting things it logs for a journey is:

Calculated Load
Absolute throttle position
Long term fuel trim Bank 1 & 2
short term fuel trim Bank 1 & 2 & S2
Intake Manifold absolute pressure
Air flow rate from mass air flow sensor
Ignition timing advance #1 cylinder
Vehicle Speed sensor
Oxygen sensor output voltage Bank 1 & 2 & S2
Oxygen sensor current B2-S1
equivalance ratio Bank ( Lambda)1 & 2 & S1

this is what I have so far, I am sure it is all very usefull when it makes sense,
I am able to tell that there is differences between the Bank1 and Bank2
The other use I found by accident, I had to go to Manchester and the hotel had a secure car park, but I had to hand over the keys to a valey to park it,
which I was not happy about, I had images of him screaming about manchester in my pride and joy, anyway the c recorder shows him driving very nicely, how far, what speed, what revs, and at what time, excellent.

I am assuming the car is fairly new to you. Clean or verify clean the TB, MAFS and the breather stub and at the same time check for cracks in the pipe to the TB. Also check the air filter and replace if necessary. Introduce a container on fuel cleaner (I use BG 44K) clear the codes now that you have these documented and drive it and see what comes up. Not knowing the year of the car I would check to see if the connectors are clean to the TB and if the car is between 1999 – 2001 see if TSB 303-58 was completed.

http://www.gusglikas.com/AutoRepTB.htm This is for the TB and plugs
http://www.gusglikas.com/AutoRepairAltRepair.htm This will tell you how to remove the intake hose.
Jim, you are not alone we will help you along. Just tell us what your situation is and we will help. Now as for working on the car, I am not a mechanic and I recall the days working on my 55Ford. You can find a lot of information in the FAQ section of this forum and I have a few things on my page.
