Default Car badge paint?

What paint should I use to paint the "R" badge on my XKR? The plastic sticker inside green and orange is coming out and needs replacing. Don't really want a whole new badge so I figure I could apint the inside with nail polish perhaps? This is the badge in question jaguar-xkr-chrome-boot-emblem-with-key-hole-7123-1-p.png (900×600) (ekm.net) It's only a really small area to paint so it should get streaks or anything or look weird. I just figure nail polish is pretty durable and glossy.

The small bottles of model airplane / model car / model rocket hobby enamel paint would be much better than nail polish. As a kid growing up in the 1960s, that type of model paint was made by a company called Testor's....

I used that Testor's hobby paint to restore the rear plastic "260Z" emblem on my 1974 Datsun 260Z. That would have been around 1979. I did it one more time before I sold the car in 1987. That Testor's enamel paint held up quite well....

Thanks that will do perfectly. British Racing Green and Italian Red? Humbrol in the UK do some model enamel paints for £2.49 each. Much cheaper then paying £40 for a new badge and having the hassle of removing the old one and applying the new one.

I don't have the badge in question but it looks to be the same type as most in that the paint is applied to the back. The gloss comes from the clear plastic construction. Nail lacquer is ideal for these but to do it the old badge needs to be removed, repainted and then replaced.
Edit. On closer inspection l think above is incorrect. Please disregard.
