Well done on finding a buyer who's willing to put the time and effort into saving the car. As fellow forum member OldMots said above, it's like an old friend but you can't put the time and money into saving. Junking the car would also weigh heavily on my mind.
I previously acquired my XK8 as a non-runner as I wanted a project car to have some fun in the garage. it was one of the best decisions I have made in terms of car choices, and was made easier with the expertise of this friendly Forum.
Anyway thanks for not scrapping the car.
