Default catoninetails

Hello All
I have just bought a Jaguar xk8 coupe (2001), and notice that it has a PARROT CONTROL BOX FITTED TO THE FASCIA AND A MICROPHONE STICKING OUT OF THE ROOF PANEL NEAR THE INT. MIRROR.
Can anyone please advise me if I can connect my Samsung mob. (that has Bluetooth) to it, so that I can use "hands free".
Any help will be much appreciated

A late 'welcome' to the forum richard whittington as I see you've been with us for over two years.

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to XK8/XKR forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Does it look like this?

It's a few years since I had my 2001 XK8 with the Parrot Bluetooth installation so technology has probably moved on!

Hello Graham
Great, your Parrot photo looks identical to the one installed in my car.
Can you remember how it works?
Kind Regards

No!

But you can download the PARROT CK3100 User Guide free from my MediaFire account by following this link:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/c8...User_Guide.pdf

I did keep the wiring details which could help if you need to troubleshoot the installation.

I got hold of the right female connector from a scrap Jaguar to avoid cutting the OE male telephone harness on mine but you never know what a 'professional' installer may have done on yours.
