My centre console switches are not always illuminating when I switch on the headlights. Most buttons do illuminate, and sometimes all do, but there occasionally a couple of switches (usually different ones) failt to light up (so, it's definitely not the bulbs). Should I replace the entire centre console module? Is this expensive and tricky to do? Or is there something else I should be aware of that might be causing this?

More than likely, those bulbs behind that center console are just not making good contact in their little respective sockets. Cleaning the bulb contacts and the area where they meet the switches should clear that right up. I just screwed/unscrewed/screwed/unscrewed x50 times to fix my blinky. Works all the time now.

 

Good point! Thanks for your suggestion. I know it's a total pain accessing the centre console. Is it possible to access the switchbacks without disassembling the entire centre console? It took me hours last time to do this.

 

Not that I have found. Gotta take that center console/armrest, trim ring, shifter bezel, and surrounding pieces to get it out. Sorry.
