Good ol' carnauba paste wax has worked just fine for me for decades. Call me set in my ways but I will stick with it. The process is relatively quick, easy, and inexpensive....

Next Gen is pricey. I put a coat on my Toyota Avalon...which already had a good finish. It improved the reflectivity of the surface and seems to be holding up after several trips in heavy rain. I found it very easy to apply, using microfiber cloth.

I used Auto Finesse Triple 3 all in one with a DA polisher on my bonnet today and it has removed some swirling really well. I would not recommend it for the whole car as it has some cutting compound in it and the rest of the paintwork is fine. But for a one off correction job then it is very good. I agree, I am not sold on the benefits of ceramic compounds especially on the bodywork of older classic cars, but I will remain open minded.
