Default Check engine light and misfire code

Hey all,

Kelly just took the kitty to the mechanic because the check engine light came on, they said it was a misfire code but could not get it to repeat what caused the code...

Now last Wednesday I got off early and K and I went running around in the kitty, while sitting in the garage she fired it up and it was a bit rough but settled down when she put it in reverse, the light came on at some point after that...

Has anyone experienced this before and if so what did you come up with? Let me know.

Thanks everyone.

Jim

Do you know what the actual code was? Misfires can be causes by many things such as coils, wiring, fouled plugs, injectors etc...

I'll get a hold of the mech. shop and see if they noted it and post it if they did.
