Default Chime with Key On

My XK8 is not giving the two or three chimes it normally does when key is selected on while doing its test. The lights do their thing and no codes but no chime is audible.
Any Ideas,
Thanks,

Don't know. Battery was disconnected recently by independent mechanic to pull seat out for seat module failed. I will have to send module for repair. After picking car up chime doesn't work.

In these modern times you normally have a "settings" menu and "chimes" is in there ?

I know what you're going through. I've never heard the chime in my car. Whenever I give a ride to someone for the first time, they usually start yelling at me for not using the turn signals. I have to tell them that in fact I do, but they've gone mute.

I think it's supposed to sound like the chime in the X308s.

Mine make a "tick-tock" noise.

If you also don't have the turn indicator tic toc it's probably the speaker - less than $30 from the dealer. It is situated in the lower steering column shroud - very easy to change.

My turn signal tic tock works fine, just the ding dong chime is not working during the light test.
