Default chrome wires

I got a set on eBay for a good price, but no "retining nuts" (lugs). The stock 2000 XKR were too short and a wee bit fat for the lug holes in the wheels. A a local speed shop, the lugs were listed as 1.5 pitch. We tried 1.5s, 1.25's, re-looked them up, and finally just tried plain old 1/2" mag lugs - and they fit! Infortunately Winner's Circle only had 19, so I have to wait until Tuesday for my order. I bought some Maguire's Chrome & Wire wheel cleaner; Mother's also offered a similar product. Anyone have a recommendation? Wires are a bitch to clean. My Jag isn't particularly brake-dusty (like other Euro cars) but cleaning is still a concern.

This stuff is terrific: Bike Brite. It's sold at MC dealers, and on-line of course. Nice thing is it's not caustic like a lot of wheel cleaners. Very effective cleaner.

Another handy little gizmo is a wire wheel brush, which Moss Motors sells. Great for getting between spokes and all.
