Default Cleaning Headliner

My headliner ('06 XKR convertible) gets dirty during the summer from having the top down. Now with the top up, I have two big, dark streaks. Any suggestions on how to clean/what to use?

Thanks,

Brian.

The owners manual says mentholated spirits. That is rubbing alcohol to you colonials.

Works great. I used in a spray bottle to dampen and then blotted with a dry cotton towel.

Interesting. The online manual says:

"Headlining
"Remove dust in the headlining with a vacuum cleaner. To remove stains,
dab gently without pressing, using a fluff-free white cloth, moistened with
Jaguar Upholstery Cleaner. Do not use methylated spirit or solvents
as this may cause damage or discoloration to the headlining."

I am looking for an alternative to Jaguar Upholstery Cleaner. It specifically says not to use methylated spirits (which, is 90% ethanol, 10% methanol and not isopropyl alcohol, which we call rubbing alcohol).

Thanks,

Brian.

I have used turtle wax power out for carpet with great success. They now have a new product for uhpolstery you may want to test.
