Cool code coming up

code coming up says restricted performance.....................any ideas as to what this means ?? comes and goes ??? also had an engine chech light come on.... a'm gona clear it now >>>>.... tony

Don't clear it before finding out what the actual code is.

code came up 327 then 327 with an arrow next to it or some kind of marking
and code 1000 with the same markings of an arrow......... code 1000 was not in my book..... it only went up to po 998 code 327 says knock sensor 1circut low input bank 1 or 1 sensor..... tony

As for the knock sensor have you washed your engine recently? If so know that water and knock sensor are not compatible.

P1000 means you have a problem it will change to P1111 when everything is good.

As you say P0327 is the knock sensor, it could be a bad connection or wire or the sensor itself.

I found a part number for the 327 knock sensor..... it's LNE 1692 AA $ 109 from SNG.... gona see if any other codes pop up before I order....Does this sound like the right one ?

just checked again and afew 1642,43,44 46 codes came up ....I reset again and all went away ??? no 1600's in my book either... rite now alls clear do you think I should purchase the knock sensor (LNE 1692 AA ) or wait to see what happens ????? tony

I think you should stop deleting codes. Use them to find out what your car is telling you.

your right.... but these high numbers are not in my book of codes..... maybe i'll run it for another lil while and see what happens to be sure....

Throw away your book and use the one Gus kindly posted above.

Also be sure your battery is fully charged, also get it load tested. A weak battery can cause a lot of strange codes.

can't find my new post.... anyway...... checking out your codes GUS and the battery is also brand new... maybe 6 months or so.... tks again................ T.
