Default Connecting to NAV Display RGB for Backup Camera

I know many have done this, but I can't find it........ Is it okay to pick up the RGB feed in the trunk, or must I connect close to the NAV display??

It can be done at either location. There is a bit more slack to work with in the trunk.

Thanks for your input. I plan to install the video to RGB converter in the trunk and have two cameras - wireless from the front and hardwired in the back. This should minimize the wiring and using the original RGB wiring from the trunk makes good sense to me.
